Adelaide Eats - Toronto's Terrace Food Market
With patio season right around the corner, why not start it with an amazing food market! June 1st marks the grand opening of Adelaide Eats, conveniently located on the 2nd-floor terrace of the Adelaide Place (York and Adelaide). This outdoor Toronto food market is running until the end of July giving you two months to get out and try all the delicious vendors.
If you have a sweet tooth definitely try Chimney Stax’s newest creation, the Cookie Monster (tastes as delicious as it looks). It’s a Chimney Cake, an Eastern European street food, filled with ice cream topped with blue icing and COOKIES… om nom nom! Speaking of cookies, you should also try the ice cream sandwich (or a cupcake or two…) from Short and Sweet, you won’t be disappointed.
Now that dessert is taken care of let’s move on to the food. The variety of different foods at Adelaide Eats is awesome! There is something there to please everyone’s taste buds. One of my favourites was Cassia Northern Thai, the ingredients were so fresh and flavourful. I tried the Mango Sticky Rice and the Spicy Mango Tuna, very tasty!
Other favourites included:
Ishtar Catering - Great Shawarma and ground beef Kabobs
Tacos 101 – First off they had a really cool booth and their tacos were delicious. The hot sauce was the talk of the market.
Toben Food by Design – Their beef brisket was amazing, but I loved their watermelon salad more, very refreshing.
I could go on, but check out some more pictures below for yourself! Also a big shout out to The Merchant for quenching everyone’s thirst!
Left: Momofuku Toronto (their pork belly bun was so good!) - Right: Little Fin
Left: District 28, Top Right: Wahlburgers
Hope you enjoy the market as much as I did!
