Winterlicious 2017 at The Shore Club

Last month, we checked out The Shore Club for their Winterlicious menu.  The Shore Club is a high end spot known for it's seafood & steak that I had not previously been to.  I’m glad I finally had a chance because the service was excellent and you get the option of a nice chunk of Manhattan Cut Prime Striploin on the $48 Winterlicious dinner menu.

We shared 2 Winterlicious sets, and started with a tasty Pork Rillettes appetizer with pistachio and cranberry jam.  The sweet carrot and parsnip salad added some garden freshness, with the added crunch of roasted radishes.

For the mains, we went with a warm mushroom risotto and a beautiful 8 Oz. Manhattan Cut Prime Striploin that was cooked perfectly rare.  Can’t wait to try more of their steak!

We finished the meal off with a warm chocolate brownie and a walnut raisin blondie, both topped with vanilla ice cream. A simple, well rounded meal that we paired with a half bottle of 2011 Brigaldara Amarone.

I also enjoyed one of their Northern Lights cocktails for dessert. A tasty concoction of plymouth gin, cointreau, cassis, lemon juice and egg white.

Our server Monty was excellent and made sure our experience was smooth throughout the meal.  From helping us navigate the wine list, to explaining the menu, everything was done with class. Shout outs to Monty! I hadn’t done a Winterlicious dinner in awhile and the 3 course format kept the meal simple, but still high end. I look forward to going back to try the rest of their regular menu & some seafood.
